The third day of Liverpool Hope University International Tennis Tournament marks this year´s semifinals for the tournament´s players.

Italian ace Paolo Lorenzi wins 6-2, 6-3 against 18 year old British qualifier Adam Jones in the third match of the day – although it wasn’t as comfortably as the score might indicate.

The fifth and final singles match of the day saw Norwegian tennis starlet, 19-year old Melanie Stokke against British qualifier, 16-year old Ellie Tsimbilakis.

As the sun broke through the clouds, one could feel the suspense during the first match of the day, which featured Norwegian starlet Melanie Stokke and 17-year old Anastasia Detiuc from Moldova.

Centre Court was treated to the second match of the day, a continuation of yesterday´s upset for world number 89 Damir Dzumhur against British qualifier, 18-year old Adam Jones.

They might not have anticipated what they were in for, when the third match of the day showcased last minute addition to this year’s tournament lineup, Italian world number 49 Paolo Lorenzi and ITF-junior, 18 year old Keanu Ellen from USA.
