World top 50 to Liverpool-final

Italian ace Paolo Lorenzi wins 6-2, 6-3 against 18 year old British qualifier Adam Jones in the third match of the day – although it wasn’t as comfortably as the score might indicate.

“It was a tough match, stated Lorenzi at the end.

Not only did Adam have the home crowd on his side, he displayed a sensational tennis talent of big serves, precise backhands, swift forehands, a winner mentality and fighting spirit. Along with a few tennis aces against Lorenzi, to note.

Although Lorenzi showed the crowd at Liverpool Cricket Club today why he is top 50 in the world. His killer serves especially, and a well crafted strategi of moving the opponent from side to side with laser sharp precision.

For Adam Jones, who now has played against both world top 50 and world top 89 Damir Dzumhur in front of the home crowd, this year´s Liverpool Hope University International Tennis Tournament will be an experience he will never forget:

“It has been unbelievable. Lorenzi is such a great player. It was a great experience and I loved every minute of it, expressed Adam Jones.
