Tournament director Anders Borg highlighted the significance of Abi’s victory, saying, “Over the years, we have developed a big tennis following in the region, and to see local players like Abi go all the way in one of our events is a testament to the talent and dedication in our community. We have made Liverpool a major hub in Britain for international junior tournaments, which we are very proud of.”
The Lexus Liverpool Junior International Tennis Tournament, where Abi’s victory took place, runs until Friday, November 15th.
