Day 2 of The Qube Liverpool International Tennis Tournament began with an impressive victory by Dimitar Kuzmanov from Bulgaria, overpowering Elijah Poritzky from the USA with a dominant score of 6-3, 6-1 ensuring his spot to defend his title tomorrow.
The second match between Enzo Couacaud of France and Marcus Willis of Great Britain promised to be an enthralling contest, with Couacaud leading 6-3, 1-0 before unfortunate rain intervened, forcing a temporary halt in play. Regrettably, due to persistent rainfall, the day’s proceedings had to be abandoned.
Couacaud will now face last year’s champion Kuzmanov in tomorrow’s final starting at 1pm.
