Northern Vision proudly facilitated a centre court showcase for ‘The Vibe’ community group to raise awareness of the amazing work they do for those with additional needs.
The Vibe is a true grass roots organisation based in Liverpool that aims to improve the health and well-being of adults with additional needs. The group arrange events, social activities and workshops to stimulate and entertain their members providing an outlet for members of our community who are often sidelined and overlooked.
The group currently meet every week at Liverpool Tennis centre for 4-hours to take part in social activities such as tennis coaching and bingo. All the service users have 1-2-1 care requirements and thoroughly enjoy having an opportunity to socialise and play tennis together.
Dave Hardman, a tennis coach at Liverpool Tennis Centre said:
“We have an incredible group of 35 adults all from Liverpool who meet weekly at the tennis centre. The community group is a vital outlet for the members to socialise and have fun. One member of the group has even managed to obtain his first Coaching Qualification having started volunteering with me. He is even volunteering as a Line Judge this week!”
