Skupski brothers reach the final at AEGON Nottingham Challenger
Ken and Neil Skupski from Allerton, Liverpool had an incredible start to their double partnership by sensationally making it to the final of the Ageon championships in Nottingham on Saturday. On their way to the final they beat the 9th highest ranked double pairing in the world seeds S. GONZALEZ S. LIPSKY in two sets 64 62. In the semi final they beat another sibling pairing from Thailand (S. RATIWATANA S. RATIWATANA) in two straight sets.
In the final they lost against Murray / Peers but not without a fight losing 6 10 in the final championship tiebreak. This was an excellent way to start their double partnership and with t their chemistry in addition to tachical abilities can make them a very strong contender on the double circuit going forward.
The brothers will play during the Liverpool Hope University International tennis tournament on the 22nd and 23rd of June.
