The Medicash Liverpool International, taking place in Calderstones park from 21st to 24th June has completed the line up of legends with the American Peter Fleming and Swedish Anders Yarryd.
Peter Fleming was one of the best double players in the history partnering the one and only John McEnroe. The duo won seven Grand Slam titles together. The World number 1 in doubles and number 8 in singles is famous for his modest saying, “The best doubles pair in the world is John McEnroe and anyone”
Fleming who was arguably part of the strongest doubles team ever says that The Medicash Liverpool International with the fact that it takes place in a public park in a city mostly known for football is a great event to be part of.
The Swedish Anders Yarryd is another world number 1 in doubles, who will participate in the Medicash Liverpool International Tennis Tournament. He won eight Grand Slam titles and he was 5th in the world men singles players.
“I had a great time there a couple of years back then I cannot wait to play singles against Greg Rusedski and Richard Krajicek, two great grass players.”
