Liverpool Hope University International Tennis Tournament has revealed Medicash has come on-board as the latest partner for the event as organisers predict a record-breaking year for the competition.
As one of the UK’s leading healthcare cash plan providers, Liverpool based Medicash, has promoted healthy living for over 140 years. Their health plans, available to corporates and individuals, offer cover towards healthcare bills from dental treatment to eye tests as well as a wide range of other wellbeing benefits.
According to Medicash marketing manager Andy Abernethy, the tournament is the ideal platform to promote their products. “The Liverpool Hope University International Tennis Tournament is one of the biggest annual sporting events in the region,” he said. “This year will be the biggest yet. “It is a great opportunity for us, as a business with its roots firmly in Liverpool, to reach out and let people know what we are doing to ease the cost of healthcare and help them lead more active, healthy lives.
“Having the Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli at this year’s tournament is a major coup for the Tournament and hopefully seeing her play will inspire people to become more active themselves in order to improve their general health and wellbeing.”
Tournament director Anders Borg said he welcomed the support of Medicash. “The tournament keeps getting bigger every year,” he said. “To have the support of a successful national business that is based in Liverpool is valuable to us. “We are promoting one of the best businesses in the North West through sport to an international audience. Ticket sales are strong this year and we anticipate a record-breaking crowd for the tournament which is why businesses are keen to get involved.”
Medicash is hosting an International Festival of Business breakfast event at their Liverpool based offices on Friday 20 June where Greg Rusedski will be speaking, alongside Professor Cary Cooper, ahead of the tennis that day.
