A fantastic first day of the Qube Liverpool International Tennis Tournament came to an end in a thrilling manner as Dimitar Kuzmanov (BGR) came back from a set down to beat the British Wimbledon legend Marcus Willis (GBR) 4-6 6-2 6-3.
Earlier in the day, Enzo Couacaud (FRA), the frenchman who was the only one to take a set off Novak Djokovic at the 2023 Australian Open, beat Elijah Poritzky (USA) 6-1 6-3. In the women’s tournament, Nigina Abduraimova (UZB) beat Marie Benoit (BEL) in two tight sets 6-4 7-6 (3).
Tickets are available at the Box Office from 11am tomorrow. Play starts at 1pm.
