The Allerton duo. who have won 10 ATP Challenger Tour titles, have been enlisted by event organiser Anders Borg as the top doubles attraction at Liverpool Cricket Club this week.
The pair will be in action on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, as grass court preparation for their Wimbledon challenge.
Ranked 82 and 83 in the most recent ATP list, the Skupskis have played in several Liverpool Internationals, but haven’t featured in recent years as they have travelled the international circuit winning events in Poland and Luxembourg and reaching the final of the prestigious Kremlin Cup in Moscow.
“Neal and Ken have an incredible chemistry and respect for each other,” said Borg. “We are delighted they can make it to Liverpool once again where I am sure they will receive a great reception.
“We firmly believe these boys can go very far in doubles and challenge the very best.”
The Skupski brothers replace Roublev who had to pull out due to an wrist injury.
