Day 2 of the Liverpool Hope University International Tennis Tournament saw the completion of the Men’s and Women’s round robin matches.
Martin Alund beat Simon Roberts 6-3, 7-6 to make the Men’s Singles final. The match was followed by an extremely close match between Guido Pella and Pablo Andujar with Pella winning a 10-8 super set.
Both Alund and Pella will contest the 2013 Men’s Singles Final starting on centre court on saturday at 12:00.
On the women’s side of the tournament, Alexandra Cadantu from Romania beat Anett Kontaveit 6-3, 7-5 and Coco Vandeweghe beat Natalie Wall 9-2 in a shortened super set match.
Both Alexandra and Coco will go through to saturday’s Women’s Final which will be second match on centre court.
