Former British No.1 Dan Evans will appear at this year’s Liverpool International Tennis Tournament.
One of the most watchable players on the British circuit, Evans has enjoyed a successful career at the top level of the game. The Birmingham-born star reached a career-high ranking of world No.21 in 2023 and has represented Great Britain on some of tennis’ biggest stages.
Evans was instrumental in Great Britain’s dramatic Davis Cup triumph in 2015 as part of the team that went on to claim the coveted BBC Sports Personality Team of the Year award.

More recently, he competed at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, reaching the doubles quarter-finals alongside Andy Murray.
Known for his in-game intelligence and skilful shot selection, Evans will enchant the crowd with his lively style. His serve-and-volley tactics, disguised drop shots, and comfort on grass courts make him a perfect match for Liverpool’s exhibition event.

After returning from injury earlier this season, Evans heads to Liverpool as he continues his preparations for his wildcard appearance at Wimbledon.
Tournament Director Anders Borg said:
“Dan is a fantastic addition to this year’s line-up. He’s a player tennis fans love to watch because he plays the game differently from most players on the tour. His style suits grass perfectly, and I know our crowds will really enjoy seeing him in Liverpool this summer.”
The Liverpool International Tennis Tournament returns from 18–20 June 2026, bringing world-class tennis and a festival atmosphere back to Aigburth just days before Wimbledon.
