James Ward beats Marcus Willis 6-3 6-4 to become the Liverpool International 2021 Champion.

The former Davis Cup champion and British number two rolled back the years against the 2016 Wimbledon hero Marcus Willis in a very entertaining match on the centre court of the Liverpool Tennis Club. Ward s joins a list of great former Liverpool winners such as Marat Safin , Ivan Ljubicic, David Ferrer, Kevin Anderson and Marty Fish to mention a few.

Alex will now play former Davis Cup Winner James Ward on centre-court on Thursday 19th Aug at Liverpool Tennis Club. Alex is photographed below with tournament referee Mike McBrien.
