Today more than 500 school children from across Merseyside were invited by KPMG and Northern Vision to take part in our annual kids day.

The children were introduced to a number of different sports, enjoying the fantastic public facilities at the Liverpool Tennis Centre.

With the focus being on tennis, the children were extremely excited to meet some of the stars who will be featuring at the tournament this week and were put through their paces by the Liverpool International Tennis coaches.

Tournament director Anders Borg said “it’s our aim to get 10 percent of the kids to start playing tennis and I am sure these kids have the talent and desire to become the next great players  of the future”

The Williams BMW Liverpool International Tennis Tournament starts tomorrow at the Liverpool Cricket Club. Cash ticket sales are still available to purchase on the day of the event at the box office.
